Mac-Talla Strata 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

Mac-Talla Strata is a 15 year old Islay single malt of undisclosed origin, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. It belongs to the Mac-Talla range of secret Islay malts launched in 2021. The whisky was matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, giving smoke with sweetness alongside. Morrison Distillers were formerly the owners of Bowmore. The colour is deep gold. The nose brings smoked barley, seashells and sherried fruits, the palate is velvety with earthy peat and winter spices, and the finish is rich, warm and smoky.
