Mac-Talla Terra Classic Islay is a single malt from Islay, created by the Morrison family and bottled at 46%. It is matured in American oak casks selected by co-owner Jamie Morrison, and it is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
The smoke is classic Islay in style, with a fresh, maritime character. The name Terra means earth.
The nose has fresh citrus, sweet marzipan, wet stones, gentle peat smoke and toasted barley. On the palate come almond cake with vanilla custard, bonfire smoke and salty sea spray, in a medium-bodied style. The finish is medium in length, crisp and clean, with warming wood spice.
