Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak is a Speyside single malt, matured for a minimum of 12 years and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky ages exclusively in hand-selected European oak casks seasoned with sherry, the casks being treated with Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. The water comes from Ringorm Spring and the spirit is twice distilled in small copper pot stills.
The nose has dried fruit, candied citrus peel and oak with ginger and nutmeg. The palate brings raisins, sultanas and ginger syrup, then sweet cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. The finish is long, with oak and warming ginger.
