Macallan 12 Year Old Triple Cask is a single malt from the Speyside distillery founded in 1824, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured for a minimum of 12 years in three types of cask: European sherry-seasoned oak, American sherry-seasoned oak and American ex-bourbon oak.
The nose is delicate, with citrus, ginger, vanilla, cinnamon and dried fruits, plus fresh oak and light toasted notes. The palate is medium-bodied and creamy, with vanilla, citrus, light oak and subtle spices. The finish is medium, with lingering sweetness, light oak and ginger spice, leaving a warm, pleasantly dry feel.
