This is a Macallan single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2023 by Signatory Vintage after 18 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 57.7% and is not chill-filtered. Each bottle is individually numbered from that single cask.
The nose brings dried fruit, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and warming spice, with polished oak and old leather. The palate is full-bodied, with Christmas cake, dark cherries, toasted oak and nutmeg, alongside toffee and cocoa. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and subtle oak spice.
