This is The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak in its 2023 edition, a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is an annual release.
The whisky is matured for at least 18 years in European and American oak casks seasoned with sherry from Jerez. It is distilled in the distillery's small copper pot stills.
The nose is dried fruit, ginger, toffee and nutmeg, with a hint of citrus and vanilla. The palate brings mature oak, dried fruit, clove, orange and wood smoke. The finish is long and full, with dried fruit, toffee, spice and a touch of chocolate.
