This is The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak in its 2024 edition, a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is an annual release.
The whisky is matured for at least 18 years in hand-selected European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez. It is distilled in the distillery's small copper pot stills.
The nose is dried fruit, ginger, toffee and orange, with vanilla and cinnamon. The palate has dried fruit and ginger, with clove, nutmeg, a little wood smoke, raisins and citrus. The finish is long and rich, with dried fruit, spice and sweet orange.
