First fill Oloroso sherry butt
A 25-year-old single cask Macallan distilled in 1997, selected by Andrew Symington, owner of the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. It comes from a first fill Oloroso sherry butt and is bottled at a cask strength of 55%, one of 660 bottles. It belongs to the first release of the Symington's Choice series, which draws on casks held in the Signatory warehouse in Pitlochry. The nose is described as clean and classic, with raisins, blackberries, jammy plums, chocolate and tobacco. The palate brings dark chocolate, Turkish coffee, prunes and liquorice, dry and oaky but never bitter, and the finish is long and dark.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
