Macallan 25 Year Old Sherry Oak is a Speyside single malt from the 2018 release, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled in the distillery's small copper pot stills.
The whisky is aged for at least 25 years in European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez.
The nose brings dried fruit, ginger, cinnamon, polished oak and Oloroso sherry, with chocolate orange and nutmeg. The palate is concentrated dried fruit with wood spice, honey and dark chocolate, lifted by citrus zest and vanilla. The finish is long, with wood spice, raisins, sultanas and smooth oak.
