Macallan – 30 Year Old Double Cask (2024 Edition) (70cl, 43%)

Macallan 30 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt from the 2024 edition, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spent thirty years in European and American oak casks that previously held sherry and bourbon. In the Double Cask process the whisky matures separately in the different casks before the final blending. The nose offers dried figs, raisins and orange marmalade with vanilla and spice. On the palate, sweet fruit meets dark chocolate and ginger, with subtle oak, nuts and honey. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice, dried fruit and a gentle smoky note.
