Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak is a Speyside single malt, here in its 2024 edition. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and is an official distillery bottling.
The whisky matured for a minimum of 30 years in first-fill and refill sherry casks of European and American oak, selected from casks that came from Jerez in Spain.
The nose is dried fruits, raisins, figs, walnuts and dark chocolate, with hints of Christmas spices. The palate is full-bodied and silky, with sherry, honey, candied orange, ginger, cinnamon, oak and subtle smoke. The finish is very long and warming, with dried fruits, spices and an elegant oak dryness.
