Macallan – A Night on Earth II The Journey 2023 (70cl, 43%)

A Highland single malt from Macallan, released in 2023 as the second A Night on Earth in Scotland edition and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The seasonal release tells the story of Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year, and is a collaboration with the illustrator Erica Dorn. The whisky was matured in sherry casks of American and European oak, together with American ex-bourbon casks. The nose is creamy, with toasted oak, steamed rice, coconut milk pudding, citrus and vanilla oat biscuits. Citrus, lemon and lime meet sweet creamy vanilla and toasted coconut on the palate, and the finish is sweet with toasted oak and vanilla.
