A Macallan single malt from Speyside, A Night on Earth in Scotland is a seasonal release inspired by Scottish Hogmanay traditions and the anticipation of the New Year. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The whisky was matured in a mix of American ex-bourbon barrels and European sherry-seasoned oak casks, selected with festive flavours in mind. The release was made in collaboration with the Japanese-French illustrator Erica Dorn.
The nose offers vanilla, baked apple, baking spices, shortbread and a hint of dried orange. The palate is rich and sweet, with dried fruit, butter pastry, fresh biscuits and ginger. The finish is medium in length, with lingering sweetness and gentle spice.
