Macallan Classic Cut 2020 is the 2020 edition of an annual Speyside release, bottled at a higher strength of 55% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from a selection of sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks chosen for this edition. The strength was set by the distillery's whisky team to show the character of the whisky.
The nose is sweet orange peel, vanilla pods and fresh oak, developing into ginger, nutmeg and a little dried fruit. The palate has vanilla, candied orange, baking spices and dark chocolate. The finish is long, with orange zest, sweet oak and warming spice.
