The Macallan Classic Cut 2022 is a Speyside single malt from the distillery's annual Classic Cut series, bottled at 52.5% in a 70cl bottle without chill filtration.
It was matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks chosen by Macallan's Master Whisky Maker, and the strength was set to show the whisky at its fullest flavour.
The nose has sweet vanilla, candied orange, fresh oak and cinnamon, with ginger and nutmeg. The palate shows caramel and honey sweetness, spice, dried fruit and toasted oak, with chocolate orange and toffee. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice, dried fruit and a little vanilla.
