Macallan Edition No. 6 is the final release in the Edition series, created with the Atlantic Salmon Trust in celebration of the River Spey. It was bottled in 2020 at 48.6%, in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour.
The whisky was matured in American and European oak casks seasoned with sherry, chosen by the Macallan Master Whisky Maker.
The nose has plum, ripe banana, vanilla, nutmeg and oak spice. On the palate there are fresh fruit, spice and chocolate, with orange zest, ginger and toffee. The finish is long, with oak spice, sweet orange and vanilla, turning to cocoa.
