A 25 year old Highland single malt from Macallan-Glenlivet, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 40% in a 75cl bottle.
The colour is amber. The nose leans towards dried fruit, with raisins, figs, dates, quince and dried banana, alongside apricot jam, Turkish delight and papaya. With time, old cigars, cured ham and soy sauce appear.
On the palate it is spicy and dry, with plenty of oak, bitter chocolate, liquorice, black raisins, old Armagnac and a touch of tar and mocha. The finish is long and slightly rough, with a mentholated, fino-like aftertaste.
