Macallan – Rare Cask 2023 (43%)

Macallan Rare Cask 2023 is a single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It is vatted from sherry-seasoned oak casks that the Whisky Mastery Team selected by hand, and it keeps its natural deep ruby mahogany colour, with no colouring added. This release was created with Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds, who explored the links between music and whisky, with wood as the element that joins sound, aroma, flavour and colour. The nose combines soft vanilla and rich raisins with fresh apple, lemon and orange. Raisin sweetness leads the palate, followed by vanilla, dark chocolate and a little light citrus zest. The finish is long, rich and velvety.
