This is a Macallan single malt from the Speymalt range, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail under the name New Vibrations. It was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2023 at 25 years old, at 54.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It comes from a single cask, number 21603906, which gave 319 bottles. Gordon & MacPhail were among the official bottlers of Macallan until the 1970s.
The notes describe ripe fruit, vanilla and caramel on the nose, with spiced oak and dark chocolate. The palate brings dried fruit, sherry and nuts, with honey, cinnamon and ginger, and the finish is long and warm with toasted oak and candied fruit.
