A 20 year old Macallan Speymalt from Gordon & MacPhail, drawn from cask 9547. It was distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2022 at 55.9% ABV, and the bottling comprises 247 bottles.
It shows Macallan's sherried style, with a deep amber colour.
The nose has sherry notes of dried figs, raisins and plums, with honey, dark chocolate, cinnamon and clove. The palate is full and silky, with raisins, dates, candied orange, toffee, mocha and dark chocolate, then nutmeg, black pepper, tobacco and leather. The finish is long and warm, with sherry, sweet oak and a hint of walnut bitterness.
