Macallan Time: Space Sherry Cask is a 20 year old single malt from The Macallan in Speyside, in a 70cl bottle at 44.8%. It comes from a partnership between the distillery and the sherry house Valdespino in Jerez de la Frontera.
The whisky matured for 20 years in European oak casks seasoned with Valdespino sherry. It is the first Macallan since the acquisition of Valdespino to be influenced by casks seasoned with the house's own sherries.
The nose is typically described as dark chocolate, raisins and prunes, with cinnamon, ginger, orange peel and vanilla. On the palate come fig, dark cherry and dried fruit, and the finish is long and dry, with dark fruits and lightly spiced oak.
