A 12 year old Macduff from a single first-fill sherry hogshead, distilled on 3 October 2011 and bottled on 30 June 2024 by the Artful Dodger Whisky Collective. It is bottled at a cask strength of 61.3% in a 50cl bottle, with 456 bottles from the cask.
The heavy first-fill sherry wood gives it an intense character. The nose brings gunflint, blackcurrant buds, green walnut and damson tart dusted with cinnamon. Treacle, burnt sugar, juicy sultanas and warming spice lead the palate, and the finish is long, with dark fruit, sherry-soaked oak and sweet spice.
