This is a 24 year old Speyside single malt from Macduff, distilled on 21 February 1984 and released in the First Cask Series. The colour is amber.
The nose is full of Christmas cake, with dried pear, banana, fig, raisin, date, angelica and sour cherry over bitter chocolate. With water, fir wood and needles appear. The palate brings black pepper, bitter chocolate, strong black tea and peppermint, turning to a spicy grog with water.
The finish recalls mulled wine, with orange, cinnamon, raisin, star anise and vanilla.
