MacNair's Lum Reek is a smoky 10 year old blended malt from The GlenAllachie Distillers Company. Master blender Billy Walker combines selected single malts from Speyside and Islay with GlenAllachie single malt.
After blending, the whisky was matured further in Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks. Batch 1 is bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.4%, without added colour or chill filtration.
The nose has smoke, heather honey, ginger, cinnamon, treacle and vanilla. The palate brings dark chocolate, ginger, citrus, smoked spices, cooked banana and tannins. The finish is long, spicy and smoky, with dark chocolate and citrus.
