MacNair's Lum Reek 21 Year Old Small Batch (70cl, 48%)

This is a 21 year old blended malt Scotch whisky, composed by Billy Walker and bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Older Speyside and Islay malts are married with aged GlenAllachie single malt. It is not coloured or chill-filtered. After blending, the whisky received further maturation in Spanish sherry casks, French oak and virgin oak. The style joins gentle peat smoke with dark fruit, chocolate, honey, leather and spicy oak. The nose is lightly peaty, with dark chocolate, honey and vanilla fudge. The palate shows leather, cedar, cocoa, vanilla, sweet spice and soft smoke. The finish is long and spicy, faintly smoky, with cocoa and oak.
