A 50 year old single malt released in 2024 by Gordon & MacPhail under its MacPhail's label, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. The distillery of origin is kept undisclosed, and the whisky shows sherry influence with a touch of smoke.
The nose offers stewed dark fruits, warm cinnamon, milk chocolate and demerara sugar, with cigar box, beeswax polish and aged leather. On the palate come vibrant orange, black pepper and sweet dried tobacco, with hints of apple, milk chocolate and spices. The finish is lingering, full and well balanced, with spice and oak.
