This VSOP is the first Cognac the Maison Francois Peyrot ever produced. It is double-distilled from Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes in a copper still dating from the 18th century, which the Peyrot family has used since 1956.
It then rests in oak for at least 12 years. The colour is a bright amber-yellow with golden glints.
The nose offers vanilla, white pepper and cloves. On the palate it combines strength and softness, with a touch of savouriness that follows. It suits a quiet evening, served neat after a long day.
