This is a 34 year old blended malt from Murray McDavid, the second chapter of its Islay trilogy. It combines malts from Bowmore and Laphroaig. Both were filled into refill bourbon hogsheads in 1989 and married there, then matured for just over three decades, with a finish in an Oloroso sherry cask. Murray McDavid bottled it in 2023 for the Mission Gold collection, at natural cask strength, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
