Manly Spirits Coastal Stone Elements Series Pinot Cask (50cl, 46%)

A single malt from Manly Spirits of Australia, Coastal Stone Pinot Cask belongs to the Elements Series. It was matured in first-fill 100-litre casks that previously held only Tasmanian Pinot Noir, cut down to that size by Tasmanian coopers. The whisky is bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. Manly Spirits matures its Coastal Stone whiskies on the coast. The casks had a medium toast and had never held whisky before. On the nose, cacao and ripe orange come with macadamia and walnut. The palate starts light, with soaked brandy apple, then moves to velvety dark chocolate and toffee. The finish is soft, floral and nutty, with roasted coffee beans.
