This is a Mannochmore single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1990 and bottled at nine years old by the Scottish Malt Whisky Society as cask 64.2. It is bottled at 61.4% abv.
In the glass it is the colour of white wine. The nose brings olive oil, linseed oil and a strong grassiness, with a little pear and confectionery. Neat, the palate is very strong, with strawberry sweets. With water the sweet fruit comes forward as pear drops, raspberry drops and marshmallows.
The finish is long and turns more herbal, with a little pepper.
