Mars Iwai is a blended Japanese whisky from the Mars Shinshu Distillery in Nagano, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is the bourbon-inspired bottling in the Iwai range, which carries the name of Kiichiro Iwai, the father of Mars Whisky.
The blend is built on a majority of corn with light malt, and it is aged in ex-bourbon barrels.
It is typically described as sweet and soft, with pear, quince, hints of red fruit and vanilla from the bourbon barrels.
