Mars The Lucky Cat Mint Limited Edition Japanese Blended Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a Japanese blended whisky from Mars, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Lucky Cat series from Hombo Shuzo, in which the labels carry pictures of cats owned by the distillery's employees. This edition features Mint, a tabby. The whisky is a vatting of spirit aged in ex-Bourbon casks, matured in the stone warehouse at Mars Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima. The nose is pastry-like, with vanilla, violet and potpourri. The palate offers vanilla, caramel and candied orange, with a light touch of iodine. The finish is rich and smooth.
