The first single malt from Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima, which was built in 2016. It was distilled in 2016 and 2017, matured for about three years in bourbon barrels and bottled in 2020 at a natural cask strength of 59% ABV in a 70cl bottle. A total of 9984 bottles were released.
The nose brings toasted pecan, vanilla honey sponge cake, orange marmalade and buttery toffee sauce. The palate is mouth-coating, with citrus, ginger and pepper spice, milk chocolate sweetness, gingerbread and red dates. The finish is long and tingling, with ginger spice and walnuts.
