This is a 5 year old Japanese single malt from a single first fill bourbon cask, number 2069, bottled at a cask strength of 61% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2016 at the Tsunuki Distillery of Mars, then taken to the island of Yakushima in southern Japan to mature.
The nose has cut grass, crème brûlée, pineapple and Mirabelle plum, with a touch of malted barley. The palate brings honey, vanilla, chocolate éclair and candied lemon, and the finish has sweet spice, coconut and aniseed.
