A single cask Japanese single malt from the Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima prefecture, on the island of Kyushu. It was distilled in 2018 and aged for five years in American white oak, then bottled in 2024 at 58.5% ABV as one of 275 bottles in a 70cl size. It is part of the Foundations range.
The malt is medium-peaty, tenderly malty, mineral and marine. The nose is fine and airy, with delicate peat, clay, leather, grist and sea spray. On the palate, chocolate with fleur de sel gives way to orange liqueur, doughnuts, pralines and hazelnuts.
