This is a whisky liqueur from Master of Malt, aged for 40 years and matured in sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is dry and complex, with strong sherry, almonds and marzipan, subtle smoke, caramel and orange peel, over a woody background reminiscent of old mahogany furniture. The palate is rich, deep and warm, with dark noble wood, pure cereal sweetness, cinnamon spice and the fruit that sherry brings.
The finish is long and warm, staying dry, with old wood and dried fruit and nuts lingering.
