Meikle Toir The Original is a 5 year old peated Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the classic expression of a producer focused on peated malt.
The peat comes from the mainland, at St. Fergus, and its flavour is sweeter than that of coastal peat.
The nose offers baking spices, burnt honey, espresso, hazelnuts, smoked almonds and butterscotch. On the palate, sweet peat meets rich chocolate and heather honey, with cinnamon, ginger and oak-smoked sugar.
