Meikle Toir The Original is a five year old peated single malt from Speyside, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This bottle carries Billy Walker's signature.
It is made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, and the peat contributes a sweeter flavour than coastal peat would lead you to expect.
The nose brings baking spices, burnt honey and espresso, with hazelnuts, smoked almonds and butterscotch. The palate is sweet peat, rich chocolate and heather honey, with cinnamon, ginger and oak-smoked sugar.
