The Original is a five-year-old peated Speyside single malt from Meikle Toir, bottled at 50% ABV, with Billy Walker's signature on the bottle.
The peat comes from the mainland, at St. Fergus, and gives a sweeter flavour than coastal peat would be expected to.
On the nose are baking spices, burnt honey and espresso, with hazelnuts, smoked almonds and butterscotch. The palate brings sweet peat, rich chocolate and heather honey, with cinnamon, ginger and oak-smoked sugar.
