Meikle Toir The Sherry One is a five-year-old peated Speyside single malt, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The peat comes from the mainland at St. Fergus, and the whisky has a phenol level of 35 PPM.
A long fermentation of 160 hours gives a fruit-forward spirit, which is then aged in Sherry oak.
The nose brings cedarwood, cigar box, butterscotch and mocha, with orange peel, honey and plum jam. On the palate come dark chocolate, smoked honey and mocha, alongside figs, treacle, burnt sugar and puffs of peat smoke.
