This is an independent bottling of Bowmore from Islay, released as Meowseum The Persistence of Memory in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2021, at 21 years old. Islay malts are usually peated, and long years in cask tend to soften that smoke rather than remove it.
Typical notes for an aged Islay malt are sea salt, dried fruit and oak alongside the softened peat.
