An artisanal mezcal produced at Villa de Mitla in the Oaxaca region.
It has smoky notes that are never aggressive, wrapped in cooked agave and damp earth, with citrus hints. The palate is savoury and sustained, with balanced warmth, a soft texture, a light herbaceous bitterness and a lingering finish. Serve neat at room temperature or slightly chilled, in small glasses, with grilled meats, aged cheeses, mushroom and spice dishes, or dark chocolate.
