Alekse 2003 is a 17 year old single malt from Michel Couvreur, bottled at 45.38% in a 50cl bottle. Only 880 bottles were filled. The spirit was distilled in Scotland on 31 March 2003 and spent all seventeen years in an Amontillado sherry butt, a style of cask drier and nuttier than Pedro Ximenez or Oloroso. It matured in the rock-cut cellars at Bouze-les-Beaune in Burgundy and was bottled there in 2021.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
