Michel Couvreur Blossoming Auld Sherried Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 45%)

Blossoming Auld Sherried is a single cask single malt from Michel Couvreur. The spirit was distilled in Scotland and matured in a fresh cream sherry oak cask in Burgundian cellars. Its natural strength of 51% was reduced to 45% for bottling in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is dark amber with a reddish tinge. Its maker says maturity is reached differently in every cask, so the bottle carries no age statement. The nose is of sherry, flowers, vanilla and dried fruits. It is mellow and long in the mouth, balancing the warmth of sherry against the fresh flavours of barley.
