Michel Couvreur Fleeting 11 Year Old Oloroso & Burgundy Pinot Noir Casks Magnum (1.5L, 49%)

This is Michel Couvreur Fleeting, an 11-year-old malt whisky bottled at 49% ABV in a 150cl magnum. The spirit was distilled in Scotland, but all of its maturation took place in Burgundy, in the rock cellars of Bouze-lès-Beaune, where the humidity is naturally high. It spent its eleven years in two kinds of cask. The first five were in Oloroso sherry casks, and the following six were in Burgundy Pinot Noir wine casks. The sherry casks are described as adding dried fruit and nutty notes, while the red wine casks bring a further layer of fruit.
