Michel Couvreur Mystic Overaged – 2025 Edition (70cl, 53.5%)

Michel Couvreur Mystic Overaged is a malt whisky from the 2025 edition, bottled in November 2025 at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited blending of 908 bottles, matured in sherry oak casks. Michel Couvreur was a Belgian who settled in Burgundy and treated the cask as the deciding factor in a whisky's character. The house still follows that approach, with careful cask selection at its centre. The nose combines old sherry notes, raisins and juicy plums with cherries, raspberries, leather, cocoa and coffee. The palate is oily, powerful and intense, with spicy sweetness, dark chocolate, nutmeg, syrupy notes and a slightly herbal, umami touch.
