This is Michel Couvreur Overaged, a malt bottled in 2020 and matured in sherry oak casks. According to the house, the oak casks used for it are between 12 and 27 years old. It is bottled at 52% ABV and comes in a small sample bottle. Michel Couvreur is an independent bottler based in Bouze-les-Beaune in Burgundy. It draws on old sherry casks, Pedro Ximenez or Oloroso aged 50 to 60 years, and matures its whiskies in its own old cellar. It is described as a fruity, dry sherried whisky with a gentle note of smoke.
