This is a 16-year-old single cask single malt from Michel Couvreur, distilled in 2008 and bottled at 50.25% in a 50cl bottle. Scottish distillate was matured in the cellars of Burgundy. Its last eight years were spent in a Colheita Port pipe from the Niepoort port house, which gives the whisky a deep mahogany colour. The nose is led by dried fruit such as raisins and dates, with roasted figs, fine cocoa and notes of wood. On the palate it opens silky, with malty sweetness and port character.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
