This is a blended malt from Michel Couvreur, bottled in April 2026 at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines three single malts, at least one of them clearly peated, with the others adding depth and fruit. The component whiskies were matured for between 10 and 19 years in sherry oak casks. The malts are distilled in Scotland and matured in France, where the Belgian-born Couvreur settled in Burgundy and built his house style around the influence of sherry casks. On the nose, sherry sweetness comes together with elegant smoke, alongside nutty notes, leather and dried herbs.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
