Michel Couvreur – The Unique 4 Year Old (70cl, 44%)

Michel Couvreur The Unique is a four-year-old whisky at 44% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The spirit is distilled in Scotland and matured in oak casks in the rock cellars of Burgundy, at Bouze-lès-Beaune. It does not take a pronounced sherry character from its casks. The oak leaves room for the grain, giving malty sweetness, fine fruit and restrained wood. It is typically described as showing cereal, light fruit and fine vanilla, with light fruit on the nose.
